irobot10 asked: I have to take up two furniture re-finishing projects and I thought I could use some help from the folk on this forum. Here it goes…
Project #1 I recently added a new cherry colored computer desk & a bookcase in my study room. I have an old chair & a writing desk in that room that are maple finish. I want to stain the old furniture to match the shiny deep cherry finish of the new furniture.
Project #2 I also added an entertainment center, coffee table and a sofa table in the family room. Even though all furniture in this room is cherry color, the wood accents of the old sofa set look really dull in front of the shiny surfaces of new furniture. So, I want to re-finish the sofa-set to bring it on par with the shiny new items.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

remodeler asked: I want something I can mow around, not have to move furniture, have a surface that’s friendly to bare feet where the furniture is. But I’m wondering if the outdoor carpet will hold up?

Rebecca asked: Can you make money by taking furniture that has been thrown away, or purchased very inexpensively at thrift stores, garage sales, etc and refinishing it and selling it?

Yummy mummy 06 asked: I’m thinking about my bedroom furniture. It is in good condition overall, just the top surfaces and some scratching. I like the design, but was thinking about refinishing and changing hardware. Help…should I even get an estimate?

momma g asked: cushions? The cushion covers are of a removeable heavy weight cotton fabric over a foam type material covered in batting. The furniture is kept in a covered, screened in area which does get damp when it rains. I have removed the covers and have washed them with detergent and bleach but after a couple of weeks the mold and mildew return. I was wondering if there was a product out there that can be sprayed on like a scotch-guard type product which will prevent and/or protect the cushions from the mold and mildew?

biz asked: I want something that does not attract dust. The one I have is not raw iron, but iron coated…which attracts dust and I have to wipe the seats down everytime I have to sit.
