Sanford’s Son asked: I have a giant wood armoire that the movers tried to fit into a bedroom. Unfortunately it didn’t fit and they scuffed the wood in a few places. The wood rubbed against the door frame and now it has a scuff with some paint from the door frame. The piece is a dark stained wood, so the white scuff marks stand out. What can I use to get the scuff off?

weakestlink11 asked: My mother passed away six months ago. I have had the responsibility of liquidating her estate. I did not have much luck selling on my own. My aunt recommended this one man saying that he sold a book for her sister for hundreds of dollars. I did contact him and he took quite a few things including furniture, china, framed art, jewelry and boxes of assorted items. I had to sign a contract which he retained - I have no copy of it. So I asked him for a list of the things he took and he said he would send me one when he had a chance to inventory the consignment. This was back in April. I didn’t hear anything from him since so I decided to visit his place of business. I didn’t see anything there I recognized as my own. So I located him in his back office and confronted him. He acted like he didn’t know me or know anything about the items I gave him to sell. Now I’m not sure what to do. I have no proof of what he took from the house. Any ideas how I should proceed or should I do anything?

happy asked: we are going to have a ‘play room’ in our house when we move in, but are unsure what needs to go in each room. obviously the bed and furniture goes in his room, but what goes in the play room?

Judi H asked: Vandergrift PA is named after his family. His mansion was built around 1902 by Alden and Harlow of Pittsburgh PA. The Mansion is located in Wellsburg, WV. It was an estate of approximately 600 acres. It, until recently was owned bu the Catholic Knights of America. Vandergrift was a playboy but supposibly married an Indian woman who may have been killed by him in a fire as she disappeared. Vandergrift, after the fire, suddenly sold the estate a huge loss including the mansion, all furnishings and the livestock and moved to New York where he married again. He raised prized cattle and dogs. His father was an executive in Rockefeller’s steel business. I have more information if needed. The house has an extensive collection of custom made Stickley furniture It is possible that he was a member of Teddy Roosevelt’s Rough Riders

always his asked: I make sure the litter box is clean. I clean it everyday. I have to cats and they both *** in different locations of the house. But we dont know why! Our older cat has stopped ****** on the carpet for the mean time. But now our younger male tiger cat is ****** on the rug in the bathroom. Why do they do this?!?! We have tried everything we can think of. My mother and i have changed litters 3 different times, changed the style of little box, and we have more than one little box. But we live in an apartment, so there are only 2 litter boxes, and they dont use the one up stairs. What can we do?!?!?!?!?!
One cat is female. and one cat is male. yes they are both fixed.

carlos r asked: I have white carpet, cherry-wood furniture, dark-wood trim around the doors and windows, and 2 windows that receive a lot of light. I don’t have curtains around the windows, but I have this sort of bamboo type Roman screen. My comforter set is a dark blue, but I’m willing to get a new set to match the walls. My ceiling is white, but I’m willing to change that too. My room isn’t too big, so is there a colour that has an enlarging effect?

gothariel asked: I want to use a strong sealant for my coffee tables. I painted, then decoupaged color copies onto them. When I used a lacquer sealant, some of the colors from the copies ran. Any ideas?
