Mom in Okla asked: I have 2 kids and they have almost ruined my leather furniture! I have tried the cleaner from the furniture store but it didn’t help. Is there something else I can try or do I need to have it professionally cleaned? Does anyone know approximately how much it costs to have a leather sofa and loveseat professionally cleaned? I’ve only had it for 2 years and it was expensive so I don’t want to replace it. It’s not the shiny kind of leather, it is the softer kind.

Bee asked: i just re painted my bedroom, and i’m not sure what colour furniture and bedding and window treatments to put in. i don’t want the colours to overpower the yellow, because it’s bright as it is. any suggestions?

I was in a craft store this past weekend and in the front of the store they had some furniture on sale. There was this beautiful five tier shelf made out of iron I am assuming with beautiful heart design and swirls…I had to go home and measure the spot I was going to put it and when I came back it was sold and that was their only one.
I have not seen it on their website and have tried many websites to look for that type of shelving but am not having any luck…any ideas?

Thelma asked: I have 4 mahogany chairs that have a tag on the bottom that reads Drexel Furniture Co. Morganton, NC and a stamp that reads in part Commonwealth of PA, Department of Labor and Industry, Registry No. 982. I bought them from someone who bought them from someone else at an outdoor market sale, so she didn’t know anything about them.

Thomas H asked: My wife has an old dressor that is a family heirloom.She doesn’t want to restore it without knowing it won’t effect its value (a matter of originallity). It has come apart a bit and is in need of restoration. Can I just glue it back together with clamps, sand it down and throw a clear coat finish on it?
