HotMaMa asked: I purchased a bedset from Art Van last Feb. My bedframe keeps cracking right down the face of the bed posts. I’ve had my bed replaced twice now and it’s not even a year old yet. I just found out that I have not recieved a new warranty with these beds and my warranty will expire next month. Anyone know what I can do about this? Is there any way I can get them to take this bedroom set back and replace it with a different style? They are supposed to have a 5 year warranty I can buy for $100, but they say I could only buy that within 30 days of recieving the bed, even if they would allow me to buy it now should I, I will just end up with a bed that’s split in 5 years right? Any help is appreciated!

faerydahlia3 asked: About 2 months ago we started getting termites swarming in our apartment. Our property owners say they’re just waiting for the exterminator company to fit them in the schedule but we’re moving in a couple weeks. They did fog our apartment only 1 week ago and i haven’t seen them since, but i’m sure they’re still around here somewhere.
Will the termites be in our wooden furniture now and follow us to the next place if our building isn’t tented before we leave? If so, is there anything we can do? Thanks!

vegassuzi63 asked: We have been selling worldwide for 4 years. Recently opened a showroom to showcase our products. I have tried every form of advertising possible, but still cannot get right clientele to come in to see amazing and beautiful furniture. I am at a loss of what to do. I network 4 nights a week, website, trade shows, local newspaper has written editorial twice, postcards to upscale homes, blogs, brochures. I am off the beaten path, but still on a major road. Is there something I am missing?

Theresa asked: My son decided to draw on the side of our antique desk secretary yesterday afternoon. I am not sure how to take it off without scuffing the wood/ removing varnish. Ideas? Thanks.
Great answers: While I’m at it…any ideas how to get white water/ moisture rings off of an antique wooden buffet?

NY Lonestar asked: I have some rather old pieces of furniture in my garage (which is cold, but dry) and it has a musty smell to it. It came from my grandmothers house, that had been empty for years. I really want to bring it indoors, but the smell is horrible! Anyone have any recommendations on how to eliminate this smell so I can enjoy these antiques??

Sophra asked: I have a square room with large windows on the south wall, a smaller window on the east wall, a closet on the north wall, and an empty east wall. I have a large bookcase, a small cabinet, and two desks I am trying to arrange to be practical but not overwhelm and crowd the room, especially since it’s all dark wood furniture. I’ve tried angling some of the pieces, separating the desks, putting the desks together to increase my workspace . . . I’m just confusing myself? Any suggestions? And please don’t suggest those furniture arranging programs, I’d really just like to hear people’s actual visions for arranging the furniture. Thank you!
