Jenna asked: Hi, I wanted to know if anyone could give me names to name a non-profit organization in Berkeley,CA,currently called YAYA California , my boss wants to change that name though.
The organization is an youth arts group based on the New Orleans YAYA program http://www.yayainc.com/.
We are a California interfaith non-profit organization located in South Berkeley which has developed to empower and transform the lives of homeless and at-risk East Bay youth ages 16-25 through commerical art jobs training, community art making and arts-based organizing for social change.
Description:
We want to fulfill our mission through three program areas: 1)arts furniture painting and commercial arts ventures; 2) community building through public art; 3) liberation art/faith based art for social change.

Robbie asked: My chairs are sticky and i have alot of detail in the chairs, and i also have a oak coffee table with even more detail, (little designs)and i mean little, and how can I fix the spots where the finish is gone on my coffee table, people set drinks on it which i **** and some areas after a while the finish is gone.. how can I fix this without stripping the furniture and refurnishing it….Thanx

mayerj72 asked: I have a futon mattress at the moment and it’s really uncomfortable. Other mattresses I was looking at are way too expensive for me. I basically need a mattress that is very firm. Almost as firm as the carpet on the floor since that feels the most comfortable for me. Otherwise I wake up with my back hurting. Would an air mattress be a good choice for me?

I am have just formed a new company in my home and want to contribute my old furniture (in addition to money) as a start-up investment. This furniture is about 4 months old and I do not have any receipts for them. I do have CC statements though.
1) Can I contribute this furniture as start-up assets to my business?
2) How do I decide FMV for the furniture if I do not have receipts?

carl b asked: We have a PA system where we have a lot of speakers, divided into a west/east area of a building. Too many I think but it worked before.
east works well, west doesn’t at all. both areas are serviced by the same 150W amp. Speakers are tapped at 2W.
Checked west line, seems ok. Speakers are daisy chained. disconnected about 1/4 way down, and speakers left connected worked. Disconnected about 3/4, nothing worked.
Speakers in between difficult to get at. But can one bad speaker take down a zone? Easy to say, check every speaker but with their location, (furniture, other stuff in the way) it’s very time consuming. Thoughts?
